My name is Elizabeth, and I am an author.
I call myself an author, rather than an aspiring author, because I actually have a poem published. Granted, that was back in middle school, but it still counts! I am published.
I am a stay at home mom of a gorgeous two year old daughter, Felicity, and am married to the most humble and amazing man I have ever known. He also happens to be my best friend. We live in a tiny little town on a rock, a stones throw from Canada in Washington state, and are very blessed to own our home.
I have been writing for forever, starting out with pictures I drew to tell a story before I could write. I have always had a love and passion for reading and writing, and from a very early age knew that someday I wanted to write my own books. Of course, back then, I juggled with that career and having a "real career" as my family so kindly put it, as a chef. I was accepted into the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Oregon, but I decided that getting married and having a family is what I wanted more than spending fourteen hour days in a kitchen. I love cooking and baking, and regularly make cakes for friends and family members.
Right now, I am focused on raising my family and being very actively involved in our community theater, where I am the "sound person", under an incredible (sometimes annoyingly funny) guy, Steve. I have several finished books under my belt already that are in a constant state of editing, including a children's book which has been illustrated and everything, I just lack the drive, at this point in time, to shove it under the publishers noses.
I truly hope you choose to follow my wandering, yet somehow epic, journey, which I haphazardly write down on this blog. Even if it makes me look like a looney. (Which I'm not all that convinced I'm not...)
